The Story of Salubrious Threads

As a registered dietitian, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others reduce toxic exposure through food and water, guiding the body to cleanse itself of environmental burdens. My passion for health extends beyond the plate. As a minimalist and environmentalist, I’ve long embraced second-hand clothing and clothing swaps with friends, cherishing sustainable choices. But a troubling truth emerged: much of our clothing is laced with microplastics and endocrine disruptors, silently harming both our bodies and the planet.

Determined to find a better way, I set out to source natural fibers—linen, cotton, hemp, wool, and silk—that nurture health and honor the Earth. This vision needed a kindred spirit, and I found one in my dear friend Jessica. With her artistic soul and timeless personal style, Jessica is even more devoted to natural living than I am. Together, we poured our hearts into creating Salubrious Threads, a boutique celebrating the art and beauty of clothing crafted by women artisans in Europe and North America.
